Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations.
- Manage safety inspections, incident investigations, and emergency action plans, taking prompt action to resolve any issues identified.
- Oversee the management of change, waste management, and SDS processes.
- Liaise with government and regulatory agencies to ensure full regulatory compliance.
- Develop and deliver effective training programs to enhance employee understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Lead project safety efforts, ensuring the safety of all project sites.
- Prepare and maintain safety reports and documentation, ensuring accurate recordkeeping.
- Use your leadership and management skills to lead the health and safety team, fostering a culture of safety across the organization.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, Environmental Science, or Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Safety Manager, EHS Manager, or Environmental Health and Safety Manager.
- In-depth knowledge of safety policies, safety compliance, health and safety regulations, and environmental health.
- Experience with project management, project safety, project site safety, safety inspections, and incident investigation.
- Familiarity with OSHA compliance, OSHA programs, safety reports, recordkeeping, safety documentation, management of change, waste management, SDS, technical data sheets, safety data sheets, global harmonization standards (GHS), and regulatory compliance.
- Experience working with government agencies and regulatory agencies.
- Proven track record in developing and delivering training programs, including compliance training and safety training.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience in team leadership, conflict resolution, and issue resolution.
- CIH, ASP, or CSP certification is preferred.
